Profile: UCL Observatory

Personal background
The University of London Observatory, Mill Hill, London, UK, is part of University College London. We believe that it is the best-equipped astronomical observatory, devoted to the teaching of undergraduates, in the British Isles.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
We are glad to help SETI@home, because it is only by looking "out there" that one can know what is in the Universe. We are inclined to assign a low probability to the proposition that our galaxy contains many intelligences that communicate using radio signals. But you can be sure that we will quickly point our telescopes at any accessible point in the sky that is reliably indicated to be the source of such a signal!
