Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
i'm quite certain that et life exists in some form or another, though i am not certain whether or not it is likely that we will ever have contact with another advanced civilization in such a large universe, especially when the constrictions on speed of information, energy, and matter are taken into account. this doesn't mean that i think it's pointless to search, though. as improbable as it may be, making contact with an alien civilization is not impossible, and those are good enough odds for me.
