My daughter and I live in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States. We are very interested in the SETI program and are glad to help look for intelligent life. We've gotten several friends to assist us in the search.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think it would be preposterous for us to think that in all the billions of galaxies out there that no other intelligent life exists. We should certainly look for signs of other life but I'm undecided whether we should "put out the welcome mat" for others to find us. I would like to think that other civilizations would be advanced enough to be friendly but... you just never know.
