I am currently a junior electrical engineer at UAH. I was learning about Fourier Series Transforms and such and ran across Seti@home. Although I do not believe in little green men or martians i do believe that there are other life form outside our vicinity. Whether they are microbes or some huge living organisim there is still a possibility that life does exists and they may be trying to contact us just like we are. If that is true, such existance would be inetersting to meet, see, or even be able to analyze.
I hope more join for the seti@home because there are plenty of computers out there that are just turned on and waste precious calculation time for this program. If you are a college student you should spread the news and expand this seti@home community. You never know that your data might help reach other life forms so join now :)
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
