| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

The more we learn about the universe and it's incredible size the more I find it hard to believe that we are alone. Barring a collision with another space object, we might have the opportunity to know something of our neighbors before our time on this planet is up.
I believe that we constantly evolve and that our next form will be based on silicon (or other simular material) rather than carbon. That could make our existence here less dependant on current resources and give us the robustness required to travel great distances.
