Profile: Peter Steinbrueck

Personal background
I'm a mechanical engineer from Stuttgart, Germany, mostly writing software. Crazy with my bicycle, I hate cars, I hate war, I hate George Bush & co., I hate terrorists and I hate the laws and restrictions of personal freedom made up to fight them.
Anything positive? - Yes. Hope. There is still hope that some day ET will come and wipe out mankind and all the stupidity in the world. ... Well, maybe we won't need 'em, because sooner or later we'll accomplish this task by ourselves.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
There is no extraterrestrial intelligence. And even if there were, we would not be able to see it, because there is no terrestrial intelligence either.
What I like about SETI is the idea of sharing. We computer people are so detatched from the rest of the world, that at least our machines should collaborate in some harmless project.
