Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am quite certain life exists elsewhere, though I am not nearly as certain that we will be able to detect anything using our current technology. I do feel that the SETI project is very important, both in terms of possibly detecting another civilization as well as increasing our knowledge of the universe.

I think it is an interesting time, and future generations will look back on us and find our first uses of household computing quite interesting, and the impact on our daily lives somewhat amusing.

It is a good time to be alive, and I hope we fulfill our obligations to our planet, both for those future generations, and to provide proof of our claim as an "intelligent" life form should we actually run into someone out there.
