Profile: KWSN - Sir Hamster of Elderberry

Personal background
I live near Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, and I'm a 43 year old Biostatistician at a medical college (I teach the med students to say "Get that for me, STAT!" ).
I started SETI Classic back in 1999, forgot about it for nearly 8 months after computer trouble, rediscovered SETI@Home and that I could join a team. Need I say that I'm a big Monty Python fan? The KWSNi team has evolved into a nice little online community, and it has brightened my life every day since I signed up.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I started with SETI@Home because I thought it was cool that my computer could contribute something useful 24 hours a day. I don't know that SETI will ever find anything. On the other hand I'm certain we will never discover other civilizations if we don't try.
