Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Of course ET exists, it is just a case of finding him. The frightening thing is knowing that what with the distances involved the first thing they will hear from us is liable to be Hitler!I thought the film highlighting Seti "First Contact" was absolutley excellent and a must for all budding/frustrated scientists. I put myself in the second category, having started seti after watching a profile on "Tomorrow's World" a tv programme promoting science etc. I run Seti in the hope that one day mine might be the work centre that finds ET!
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
