Hi my name is Sam Rix Im currently a student at hills road sixth form college in Cambridge, England. I am in a robotics team that entered into the F.I.R.S.T robotics competetion, this is great fun and i highly recommend it. also i really enjoy cheesey sci-fi films if anyone has seen 'the cube' then they will know what i mean. I organise Rix Arena which is a LAN party that i hold around cambridgeshire. so far all the event have been under 100 people but ultimatly fun! everyone has enjoyed them, i think that everyone should go to at least one LAN party if they cant make it to Rix Arena then im sure there is a local one. well i have several machines crunching seti but my main beast is having a lot of problems so i cant contributre that much :( I am also interested in computers and beowulf clusters.
I used to do a lot of MB around but as i live in the fens having a custom build down hill mountain bike is a bit pointless but still great to show off :D I am also in various orchestra playing the double bass and will be going over to Belgium to play a concert with the cambridgeshire youth wind orchestra or CYWO. well all have fun and check out the site http://www.rixarena.co.uk

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think this is a good idea although from my point of view it is a bit pointless but will help the great science world and that is why i do it if i can help with advances in science then that is great. I think that everyone wonders is there life out there? and that is if there is then how would that affect us? i think this could all be useful.
