Now retired having been in the Royal Navy, English Police and in the Security field in Australia, I was the Webmaster for Nokia Mobile Phones (UK & Ireland) Security Dept in the UK at the R & D establishment in Farnborough. I now teach Internet and email at the local Senior Centre at Carlisle and am therefore interested in computers.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why SETI? I strongly believe that we are not alone but whatever shape those out there are I do not imagine that they look as we do.
The concept of harnessing as many computers to search for SETI is a brilliant idea and is a success in the amount of data sifted to date.
