| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I do beleive ET life exists outside of our solar system and I think we will discover it using these tools(SETI and SETI@home). Benefits of such a discovery? Well, we would finnally have an age old question answered for us "Are we alone?". This alone would change the way we view our place in the universe and just imagine what they would have to teach us or what we could teach them the possibilites are endless. But at the same time they could see us as a primitive primate species and treat us the same way we treat our lesser primate relatives and throw a few of us in cages for study or amusement and destroy the rest of humanity along with our concrete jungles and replace them with their super highly advanced civilization. I'm an optimist, though, and I think they will come to educate not eliminate.
I think SETI@home is a great idea and I am happy to let them use my computer in their search for extraterrestrial life. If anything, I believe I am finally putting my computer to good use. As for any suggestions I might have, well, you could add more killer graphics to your screen saver. The ones you have now kind of blow. I still love you guys, though. |
