Hi fellow crunchers, Living and working in Virginia"s beautiful "Northern Neck" is great! I'm fifty plus (thats all you need to know ;) ). I work full time as a heavy equiptment operator (28 years). I enjoy hunting, saltwater fishing, and bluegrass music. After running Seti@Home for four and one half years, I signed up for the BOINC beta test in Nov. 2003. I've been running BOINC ever since. I am currently running Einstein (my favorite), Climate Prediction, Rosetta and occasionally Seti.

I joined Seti@Home back in May 24, 1999 because I thought it was a great way to donate spare computer time and answer a question I'm sure many of us have had in the back of our minds (Are we alone?).
I think the project has been an outstanding success from the begining, and support it's move to Boinc. This platform will allow those of us with an interest in donating time to other projects much easier. |
