Profile: The Jedi Alliance - Nemar Tel'Narin

Personal background
I'm a 29 year old currently living in Tulsa, OK. Tulsa, home of the flat land and the flat heads. :D I enjoy spending hours on my computer coding for a couple MUD games I'm on. I'm not much of a 'going out' person. I prefer to sit at home and play on my computers. I'm currently enjoying figuring out how to run a home network. I guess some would call me a geek. I'm just practical, and cheap.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Although I am not your typical Christian, I do believe in god and I believe that it is impossible for us to be the only living, thinking, beings in the universe. As far as discovery aliens. They will reveal themselves to us when we, as a planet, are ready for it.

Personally I don't think we should transmit a signal out, because chances are, our radio signals are, outdated, technology. Not to mention they are very slow for communicating over a GREAT distance.

I run SETI@home because even though I don't think we should transmit, I think there is a distinct possibility that we might pick up on something they send. I believe aliens are watching us, and have been for quite some time. Although they might have some better form of communication for great distances, short distance transmissions might be able to be recieved by us. Also, I want my group to get into the top 50 of all groups, which we are well on the way. Check us out at http://www.thejedialliance.com
