Profile: Uwe Loewer

Personal background
Male, Age 49, I live in Germany, near the borders of Netherlands/Belgium in the Region of Aachen / Mönchengladbach / Düsseldorf. I'm a member of the Criminal Investigation Department in our town "Grevenbroich", occupied with a lot of things people shouldn't do.

I like Music - doing it myself as an evenig-up to my hard work - playing piano, guitar and keyboard - and I love my horse, an Appaloosa, a true friend of mine.

A chief inspector CID in the city of Grevenbroich/Germany as I am, should believe in facts, evidence and science. Really?
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
But, the wish to find and contact a foreign "alien" civizilation, is it nothing else but a dream, that no one ever will see come true in his entire life? My answer is: "yes" and "no": Yes, it is a dream of mankind not only the last century. Remember your own thoughts of "little green men" in your childhood, your melancolic mind when your looked up to the stars in clear cold nights with your friend by your side, with small fieldglasses first, later with a little telescope as I did myself. No, it's not only a dream. It will become reality one day. Why? Because of the century of science, the new abilities of mankind, the therefore qualified knowledge that we are not alone, that within this trillions of stars outside there are of course planets with life upon, there are creatures, beings in every imaginable stadium of life, there is intelligence in the universe, and not only the one of mankind. SETI@home is one of the most promising ways to find out...... and therefore it's really worth to support SETI@Home. Good luck, it's a matter of time...
