Personal background
I was born in mid 1979. My favorite shows is the Star Trek Series. From the original to voyager I watch them all. I have seti@home running mainly on my PC but plan to install it on the other PCs I own.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it? What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?

I believe there is life out there. It’s kind of arrogant to think GOD or whoever just created the human race in the vastness of space. I believe other life will find us after one of our deep space probes passes by their system. Depending on the type of species that finds us we could benefit greatly. Or it could turn out to be a grave mistake.

2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?

We should send out a beacon. Other life might not be able to understand it but we can let them know what kind of people we are. Could end up in them interested enough in paying us a visit. The type of information it should contain is our history, good and bad, so that they may see we make mistakes. In some instances, we can learn from them.

3. Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?

I run SETI@home just the interest that my PC is being used for something. This project can be expanded to help scientists look for cures to diseases. Or research problems people are having with formulas. Could assist us advancing technology or medicine if used properly.
