| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I have no doubt that extraterrestrial life exists, although I think it is highly unlikely we will find anything with intelligence in our lifetime. I don't know if any such discovery will be beneficial or dangerous, but I do believe that for people in the 21st century onward, looking for intelligent life will be equivalent to the desire of people to go to the moon: attained only after much effort and some major advances in technology. I run SETI@home because it is fun,interesting, and well, you just never know......... |
