Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I really believe that there is life out there...
in the words of Jodie Foster in the film "Contact"
"otherwise it would be such a waste of space"...
I'm not sure if we will discover them or they will
discover us...
I don't think it is necessary to send beacons into space...
if they are looking for us they will find us anyway...
we send enough of our "noise" into space, I think.

I run Seti@home because I think that the question, if there
is someone out there, is mankind's most important one these
days... now, where nearly all secrets on our planet are solved,
we look into space hoping we are not left all alone here.
