Profile: Hans Sveen

Personal background
I was born 1954-12-28 near the olympic city of Lillehammer Norway. I grew up and lived in a small place called Biri near the largest lake in Norway, Mjøsa. I attended Primary school at Skrinnhagen in Biri; secondary school/high school was at Gjøvik a city south of Biri. During this time I got interested in science and photography; I even learned to develope the photos, both colour and black and white, now a secret of the past almost magic!
After one dull year in the Norwegian army as an ordinary soldier, only fun I had was reading magazines and books!
I went to the Universty of Oslo (capital of Norway) to study. There I started to take classes in mathematics and physics for a couple of years before I began working because of lack of money! Since then I have been working in the Norwegian Postal Services, mostly as a driver on all kind of vehicles.

After beeing restless for many years, I have now settled down. I got married in 1999 and later the same year we had our little daughter Frøydis.

My hobbies are still photography, reading, judo and computing. I love to discuss politics and religion to try challenge the establishment. I like to travel and meet new people.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that extraterresterial life do exist on different forms and levels.
