Profile: Iokarlo de Xilena

Personal background
I am Mexican from Spanish parents, almost 57 years old... I have developed in a self-learning mode, as a professional advisor in graphic & industrial design, computerized information systems, entrepreneur development, quality securing schemes, project planning & control and recently, creativity development... I am too a visual arts teacher, using an adaptable method to develop visual appreciation in people from 5 to 80 authored by my self; which works with the mostly understood human natural ability to be aware of, and enjoy with, see four dimensions: 3 spatial plus its inseparable curvature generating time (call the four seen as one: perspective)... Although I write poetry from my 16, as late, as 6 years a go, I started writing essay and novel, and actually I am engaged into a literary project, which uses SF as a platform to zoom-in some main social and cultural problems of our era... The driving thematic flow of such a project is the belief in a Humanity spread throughout the whole Universe... And my theory that terrestrial humanity come from the far planet where the human been have started... Falling in a de-evolutive process, until the cave human state anthropologists know, forced by the inhospitalary atmospheric, climatic and telluric –to name some- conditions of the planet where we –terranians- live… So, I believe and write about, we have not evoluted from some simplest specie, but de-evoluted from our own; from that state –not only, nor mainly technologically advanced- that has permitted our extragalactic ancestors reach the Terra, to our actual state looking for extraterrestrial intelligence… And, of course, feeling so lonely deeper in our souls, besides all the other problematic stuff of the so called “third millennium”.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I do believe extraterrestrial HUMAN life exists, and thus, I believe terrestrial humanity came from such extraterrestrial humans. Benefits...? Problems...? Well, I believe we have de-evoluted from that far evoluted humanity, strong in their ability to manage their self, as a whole unit of free individuals truly and respectfully engaged with their neighborhoods… I do not believe in aliens, 8th passengers, or any other specie different to mankind, comparable, in terms of awareness –not intelligence-, with them.
2. In terms of my own beliefs, what may terranians humanity say…? I tray to figure out a couple of messages: We are in the space and computer era… Perhaps we may say: we are in an evolution stage as advanced, as having chosen not to believe in God… Or one more attempt: we want to teach you how to globalize your galaxy… But, may we say: take our hand, we guarantee our friendship…? Any how, I am sure we must find some mean to say: we are lost in the fast way the Universe is coming to us, please give us a hand… And give us another rainbow in our hart, to make the Earth a hospitalary place to ours and yours.
3. I have thought many times what could be done with the massive wasted CPU time in a personal computer… But I have as well thought, in what could be done with the massive wasted space in most cities of the world –includes almost the little ones-… This means I think the SETI@home is, besides its scientific value, a great achievement for an ecologic culture –not only the green one kind, but the rainbow color-, and your approach to manage great CPU load projects by means distributed processing, should be teached to the common people… I mean, to those ever get near this project, because they ever get the appropriate information about what is going on with computers and science, even if they are proprietary of advanced PCs… Those who think extraterrestrials are the ones pictures TV and movies.
