I'm a 20 year old IT professional (yeah, i'm young. i got root, tho. ;), for a Chartered Surveyor in the UK, for fun i play paintball, read books, overclock, and play with watercooling systems for my beloved PC.
I'm also into martial arts, my girlfriend, photography, and "stuff".

Yup, sure it does. If i knew when we'd discover it, i wouldn't bother helping, would i? There are many dangers and possible benefits to discovering extraterrestrial life. Read "The Reality Dysfunction" by Peter F. Hamilton.
Don't know if i like the whole beacon idea. It kind of says "Free lunch!" or "Here's Stupid!" or "Kick me!" if you ask me.
