Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1.
- I do! it´s a huge universe much to big for us to even imagine. Why should we
be the only one living here, in this universe. I strongly think that we have
neighbours somewere.
- If we discover them or they discover us first, that realy dosen´t matter.
Maybe we are looking in for the wrong thing. But if we are, i think it will
be by a coincident, but this program SETI@home is very good start for
joining the world.
- If we discover life thats is extraterrestrial, the thougth is too complicated for now. Because nothing could prepare ourself for it.
Maybe this world becomes a better place putting it´s resources were it needs and into exploring the space, insted of directly in to the warmachinery. I think people will treat eachother in another way, maybe to the better when there is new neighbours in town. Or maybe mankind is not at all ready then there may be big problems to come.

Haven´t we already tried that. Sending things out in space with information about us. Why...!?
We should send probes, full of sensors for analysing every mesureable parameter, to send back for us. Making them small and cheap, so cheap that you can send out thousands and thousands in every direction, but with concetration on the most intressting parts of the universe. The problem is them there with a deasent speed and relaying signals back.
The information is already there on the beacon, the probe or whatever we will send out.
If the lifeform is advanced, the building and all sensors tells them.
If the lifeform is organic/bacteria, the small microscopic spores and DNA on the object tells them how or what we are.

I want to take part and help you with all that i can. This fasinates me.
If there is something out there, we could and should find it.
