Well, I'm BagPuss (Shane), I live not far from Lowestoft, Suffolk, UK in a small area called Oulton Broad.
Occupation:-
I work at Sizewell B Nuclear Power Station maintaining the Instrumemtation within the Plant.
Hobbies:-
My main hobby or love affair is my VW Scirocco Scala, having owned 3 Scirocco's in about 19 Years ! I'm part of the Biggest and Best VW Club in the UK, namely Club GTI where I have been Regional Host for Norfolk and Suffolk (Wacky Racers Crew) for the last 10 years.

Q) Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will
humans discover it? What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a
discovery?
A) Yes, I cannot believe we are the only 'Race' to exist.
Q) Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what
information should we send?
A) Yes we should but as to what to send, I'm not sure.
Q) Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any
suggestions?
A) I run SETI because I want to find E.T.
