Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have always accepted the possibility that we might encounter ET life in my own lifetime. Devoting my own CPUs is the least I can do to further this cause!

SETI and SETI@home seem to be the most likely way for us to discover/encounter ET intelligence, short of a more powerful and cost-effective means of long-distance space travel. SETI@home provides the perfect way to allow all of humanity to participate in such an effort.
