I am married (no children) and work for a local military contractor. I also take classes at UTexas - Austin. My interest in SETI started when the distributed computing model took off a few years ago and the software company I was working for thought about creating a product using the same model.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that SETI has gained much popularity over the past few years and this is a credit to the great enthusiasm of the participants and some favorable word of mouth. I am not an active astronomy enthusiast but I believe that intelligent life exists and any help that my humble computing power can bring is yours to have. I wish the folks at SETI continued success in securing funding for continuing operations.
