I'm a retired aeronautical engineer (age 56) from Edwards, AFB (the Air Force Flight Test Center). Hobbies are digital photography, trail hiking and computers. Working part time as consultant for Embraer - a Brazilian aircraft manufacturer. Live in Camas, WA (just across Columbia River from Portland,OR).

| I think SETI@home is an interesting project, but to be honest the possibility of detecting a "signal" from the "noise" is rather remote. A suggestion has been made to establish radio telescope(s) on the far side of the moon to eliminate the terrestial noise - that would increase the odds dramatically of finding a signal. They are out there, just a matter of finding them. |
