| Personal background |

I´m a Spanish student of english literature at University who wants to add its computer to the, I think, strongest feeling common to all mankind: to answer the question about if we are the only inhabitants of the Universe. Very hard to answer, and probably I´ll never get the solution in all my life... anyway, I´ll keep on trying, who knows, maybe it will be me who finds The Signal one day...
On the other hand, about me, a few words as a resume: dark, goth, literature, music, art... everything related to the old european gothic feeling, nowadays extending around the world´s soul...

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. I don´t know when will we find our "neighbours", but I hope if we find them, we will get on well, because if not, it will be very sad that, having experienced many bloodbaths in the shape of wars along history, we have another one with... other planet! I hope they will be more advanced and clever than us...
2. Of course we have to say "we are here", but it´s very hard to compose a message easy to understand, because we don´t know how their minds work... Maybe a graph of the galaxy and our place in it? Like a map to say how to get here?
3. I run it in the hope we find something, and as a show of how people of very different cultures are joined in a common hope: to know if we are not alone... because if we are... how much espace wasted!!!!
My suggestion should be more publicity of the project, so we can add more and more people, there are many computers who should be very useful... |
