I'm from the US, currently living in NJ with my wife Jill. I have always loved Astronomy and had originally enrolled in the Astro-Physics program at the University of Georgia. Once I discovered that involved some serious math, I opted for the fraternity program and soon drunked out. When I sobered up, I found myself in the United States Marines.
Now I guard rocks for a living... I'm a Director in the Security department of Tiffany & Co., based in New York City. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Well my mother in law is convinced there are aliens,,, she's read numerous books that confirm that (in her mind). I'm not so easily convinced although I'm not so naive to believe we're the only anomaly in the universe. How conceited must we be to think that there is nothing like us anywhere else?
Falling short of my childhood dream to be an astronaut, SETI@home allows me to support ongoing efforts, albeit in a very small, small way. I would like to think I was here to serve some usefullness as a semi-intelligent computer owner. Running SETI@home is the least I can do since all my donations go to the "keith" fund. |
