Personal background
I'm 23 years old, living in Paris, working as a graphist. I always been interested in space and astronomy. I'm fascinated by the unknown, the mystery and the infinite distances and energies, etc...When I was 5 years old I whished to be a cosmonaut in order to discover other planets and creatures...I always wanted to live in the future, travelling with spaceships...
I think we're coming from somewhere else, maybe another civilization put us there and they're just wathing at us, like we do in laboratory with mice.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that extraterrestrial life surely exists because of the hugeness of the universe. But the problem is that, today, with our twenty-first century's technologies it's impossible to travel quick enough to reach the closest stars, or quit our galaxy. The only possibility, today, is that an extraterrestrial intelligent life comes to us, if it's not already done. A discovery like that would change the mind of almost people for ever. It could be also some extremist who would be scared...But it should be a positiv revolution.
We already sent Voyager but, will it be ever discovered ? Trying is better than doying nothing, even if we have a very minimal chance. I think the information sent on Voyager was nice...a lot of variety from Earth with a map to say how to come to us.
I'm running Setiathome programm because, I hope we'll discover something, even if it can take many years...
We are not alone.
