I'm living in Antwerp (Belgium) and I'm 62 years old. I was a teacher during 37 years. Since 1990 I'm running a graphic bureau. I love my wife, my son, my 4 grandchildren, my dog and of course computers. My first computer was a Tandy 16k (1980). I'm working with a Mac since 1990. In my office, one (dual) machine is running Seti constantly.
I have 6 hobbies: making wooden scale models (funiture, boats), riding a bicycle, reading, mathematics, history an last but not least computers. So you see, I made one of my hobbies to a full-time occupation (since 1995).
3koningen-team (the 3 Holy Kings or the 3 Mages) consist of members who are crunching SetiData on 1 and the same account. Most of them are occupied in the graphic bussiness. Doing so, we try to help science and also to promote our website (about charity). Please give us a visit.
I have 2 very good friends: Bert and Karien. It is my neighbour Ben who takes care of our website about charity: the 3 Kings.
And by the way:
I love a good Belgian Trappist-beer, it's really unique in the world and better than the best wine! Cheers!

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

We run Seti@home because we think we can help science and who knows, find 'ET'. In the first place Seti is one of the best examples how to make (non commercial, non violent) use of the internet. In the second place astronomy is a most exciting science.
Personally, I'm sure that there is intelligent life beyond our solar system, I'm not shure at all that humanity will be able to find it before we totally destroy our own planet. But even with that one chance on a billion to find ET, I wish we should do so during my lifetime. However, if we should ever communicate with an extraterrestial intelligence, I hope that 'they' will be more intelligent, goodwilling and more peaceful then we are. That 'they' will be closer to the Ethernal Wisdom.
But on the other hand... How can I put it, in the afterlife we will all be toghether again. We will choose to be reborn here or elsewhere. I, for myself, am shure that this wasn't my first life here on earth. Earth is really a mess, but it has to be so in my view. Our souls need to learn, to grow, to be better than we were before. I'm here now. And I know I was here many times before. I'm very old overhere, very very old. And I'm still forfilling my karma on this planet.
The Eternal Energy and Cosmic Power of Life, men call it God, guides us. I know and feel it every day. My ethernal Guidesse – my great guiding angel Maria (what's in a name?) – will still be with me, now, on this earth, between this species. She was then, She is now and wil be there for me tomorrow.
It took 45 years of my life to see Her, to know She was all the time with me. And I can give all of you this testimony: it took me a nearly-death-experience to enjoy finally her Great Love and through Her, the ethernal love of the Cosmic Energy for us: GOD!. |
