Personal background
Live in N.C. have much interest in the SETI. Have always believed in other life out there. Have witnessed what I believe to be unidentified flying objects. I am 28 years old and married with 2 kids. Husband is a United States Marine. I am a homemaker was formerly a Vet Tech. Have always wanted to work for SETI and NASA.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1.)A.Yes I believe aliens exist. You'd be a fool not to believe they do.
B.I believe aliens have long been discovered by our government whom have done a lousy job covering it.
C.The benefits of knowing would be that we aren't lied to about it anymore, and I strongly believe that there would be no dangers of the discovery. It wouldn't be like Mars Attacks the Movie. People are assuming to much if they think that ET's are going to travel all that way to pick a fight.
2.) If we sent information for others to find I strongly suggest it be of kind nature. An outlook of our ways and laws, things we eat, and our family orientation. Bonds that are shared, friendships that are made, and all languages we use to communicate, which also includes body language.
3.)A.I run Seti@home because I would like to help out in anyway possible plus it gives me that 1 in a billion light year chance that i might just pick up a signal worth dicussing.
B.I'm very dissapointed to know that SETI is not a highly funded program and that millions of people don't even know about it. I believe that SETI should be just as important as some people take the stock market to be. Further more I believe that there should be sattelite dishes in every state as large as the one in Puerto Rico. I think jobs should be available and I believe there should be some sort of online degree that people like myself can apply for in this particular profession.
