Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Beleiving that we are the only intelligent life in the universe is the height of egocentricity. We are not that special. If you look back thru human history at how we have treated less advanced societies and assume that others are like us, then sending out a beacon would be an exceptionally bad idea.
