Hi,
I'm from Barcelos (Portugal), I'm 27 years old and, actually, my occupations are as Musical Education Teacher and as professional instrumentist as bass guitar player.
I always enjoyed subjects related with Extraterrestrial Intelligence and my plan is to contribute as I can to SETI.

1. Yes, I believe in extraterrestrial life. If we (humans) are living beings in ALL the space (it has no limit, right?), certainly there are other civilizations in other parts of space. Benefits: we and other civilizations can trade knowledge; dangers: hmmm... they are a possibility, of course, but I think other civilizations would not travel very big distances just to terminate us (I hope so, if someday some civilization comes to our planet). :)
2. I agree about sending beacons for others to find. I think you should send pictures of people so possible civilizations could know our physical aspect. Another information could be music, paintings, some designs of technological things we (human people) created, etc.
3. First, I think SETI@home is a great idea where all people with computers can help. I hope to help as I can. :) |
