Personal background
I am a 64 year young retired Marine Engineer. Had the pleasure of working in Aerospace for a brief stint. I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY and have lived in New Orleans, LA. for the pass 25 years. My hobbies include Art, Science, Computers, literature, Psychology, Philosophy and just being a people person. I drive a Miata sports car, with front plate saying "Beam Me Up Scottie", the rear license plate says "Galileo", named after the space shuttle from the Starship Enterprise in the first Star Trek series. If you see me beep your horn, I'll beam you over for a beer.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have been interested in Space and Science since I was a very young toddler. Since the days of Buster Crabbe portraiting Flash Gordon and televisions' Video Rangers. Yes ET is out there. We have witnessed his/her being here and someday in the future we will be there, wherever there is of course. Like most things I am sure it will not be exactly as we imagine it to be. Possibly even another whole new dimension. We know these also do exist but haven't gotten to see them either. But I am sure someday we will get there witness also. SETI may not get us where we want to go but it is a positive beginning. But in ,y lifetime indecision is the only truly bad decision because you can not change it. And doing nothing is the best way of achieving nothing. Right now, I am very glad and proud to be apart of the winds beneath SETIs' wings.
