I am an old petard who is a great admirer of Carl Sagan and his works. I have read many of his publications and never cease to marvel at his keen insight and understanding of the human psyche. His book "The Dragons of Eden" should be must reading for everyone who has any interest in science and human nature.
I am a charter member of the Planetary Society and have been running SETI since it's inception hoping to see my beliefs confirmed before I exit stage left. I do not care who makes first contact, JUST DO IT.
