Personal background
My name is Dave.
I'm from the United Kingdom, im 27 (13/01/75) and I work for a graphic design agency based just outside of Manchester. I have been a graphic designer for 10 yrs now.
I like most things paranormal, in fact I use to have my own UFO group called MUFORN, Manchester UFO Research Network, but I underestimated just how much time and commitment would be required and so had to end it a few years ago.
I'm also a BIG Internet user, im always on here.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Well im sure everything good to be said about SETI and SETI@home as already been said. So i'll keep this short and say I happen to think it's a fantastic idea.

Yes I do believe extraterrestrial life exists elsewhere in the Universe. I can not comprehend how we could be the only planet with life of any kind existing in our Universe.
As to when and how we will discover life... well I believe it already has been discovered but most of us just don't know it. I believe they (whoever "they" are) have been here many times in the past. I couldn't possibly display my views in such a short space, so i'll just leave it there for now.

I run SETI at home because I believe every litlle bit of assistance helps. My machine is always switched on and so it may as well do something useful whilst im not using it! Plus it's something about which I have an interest and I wanna do my little bit to help out.

There's one last thing I would like to raise whilst im here... and it's this. What really gets me angry about science particularly in the field of UFOs or ETs, is that you get all these scientist that say there is NO proof about the existence of ET life, and yet they refuse to believe the possiblity, their narrow mindedness about the fact that there is no proof. Yet I wonder just how many of these so called scientists actually go to church and worship God. Tell me..... where is the proof that God exists? Other than the stories passed down through time. Where is the actually physical evidence to prove Gods existence?

I think it's an interesting comparison myself.
