| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I am not very convinced extraterrestrial life exists. I don't think it's impossible, however. What interests me most about SETI is the potential of distributed computing to advance science.
Should we send a beacon for others to find? Certainly! I am quite willing to be proved wrong. Hopefully, they're not trying to decipher our signals on Pentium-equivalent level machines on their homeworlds. :) |
