Personal background |
Hi Falks!
I'm 32 and a french seti@home fan since 1999. I live in Brest the far west of france and I am the boss of a dental office for 1 year. I love computers, sci-fi movies and hard science.
I 've been three time to usa, to Loveland CO, Ogden UT and more recently to New York in april. I visited the WTC and I've been really digusted by what happen to this city the 11 th september. I expresse my deepest sympathies with the American Nation and all victims as well as their relatives... |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I am a sci-fi addict, I loved Star Treck and Space 1999 series... and I hope E.T. are not like The Alien of Riplley :-)
More seriously I am conviced that the Universe if full of life, no dubt about that when you think about the extraordinairy various forms of lifes you can encounter on the Earth; there is life everywhere on Earth, in the deepest ocean as in the hotest desert! Maybe there is life in the ocean of Europe (one of the Galilean moons)or Titan?
Nethertheless, there are bilions of gaz planets around suns (thanks to M.Mayor who discover the first no solar system planet)and surely bilions of telluric planets which can ben habited by scientents.
Anywhay a beacon will become a good idea when scientist will have discovered a new jet propulsion to reach the centaurus stars in 15 or 30 years only.
I dont think there is any danger (except for religious fanatics) to find a E.T. If they are astro perigrins they MUST be pacific. I mean violent species can not evolv to be abble to reach the stars!
I am looking for E.T. life an better species than us, this is why I really trust in seti research.
