I am your average fellow that is approaching my 40th birhtday this year (2002) and have always been intreged with the thought of life from other worlds. I grew up here in central Arkansas and still live here. No wonder I am looking for something interesting outside our galaxy! ;-) My school friends and I were the original Trekkers from the classic Star Trek television series. And I still watch any and all of the new and old shows and movies! My best friend told me about SETI a couple of years ago and I have been processing ever since. It would be a blast to be the one to discover that "First Contact"!!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I really believe that there are other life forms out there. To discover one, even a single celled "little guy" would be awesome. I think we should send out beacons to possibly find the highly intelligent aliens and possibly get to form an alliance with them and share the benefits of combined knowledge, technology and experiences with each other. This is why I do participate in SETI@home to possibly speed up to the day that we find out we are not alone out here!!
