Profile: Patcher

Personal background
Age 38, Occupation Account manager. Hobbies, building LARGE networks and selling them.
Country Holland, Town Groningen.
I started partime working on my 15th and worked at a local electronics shop.
There we had a American customer that did some work for the local university.
This was mr Seth Shostak now a team player with SETI.

After talking with a system analyst he told me about the SETI matrix project,
and i dedicated the non funktional operating time to this project.
In my office there is always a server running, and the SETI screensaver was quickly installed.

I hope to make some effort in this global chain, and may be it will be my scan that makes a difference

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do you think extraterrestrial life exists?--- Yes
If so, when and how will humans discover it?--- they are already here, may be tommorow on the news
What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?---fear is a bad advisor, let it happen
Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find?---Yes
If so, what information should we send?----Bring faster computers and ISP's!
Why do you run SETI@home?--- Because its a non commercial applet, and the collective way off binding so much computers is great.

Any suggestions?-- Keep the network expanding and please don't let us scan for nothing!

Greetz from Holland, Bart
