Spending most of my life in cyberspace in one form or another, I sometimes wonder if there is intelligent life on this planet, let alone in outerspace
I suspect that the chances of the spark existing only here and not in the infinite is pretty remote... the only questions are the timeline (are we the first, or the last, or one of a billion concurrent), distance (so so find an alien signal... but it's the other side of the universe, so not much use as a penpal !) and the language... there we are merrily searching for radio signals... what if they operate on a totally different frequency/wavelength (physically as well as intellectually) |
