Personal background
Hello, my name is Bernd Hahlbrock and i come from Harsum. That's located in the south-east of Hannover, Germany. I'm 33 years old and my hobbies are computers and biking(motorbike). A friend of mine told me about SETI@home in March 2000 and I've been with you since then.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe extraterrestrial life exists. When you think about the size of outer space with its billions and billions of galaxies and suns and then somebody says we are the only lifeform in space that has intelligence, I think he (or she) is naiv. It would be an unbelievable waste of space, wouldn't it?
On the one hand I think "Aliens" exist, but I believe that mankind is not ready to face them. We aren't able to find longlasting solutions for our interracial conflicts here on Earth. How should we manage to co-exist with individuals from outer space?

On the other hand I believe that mankind could be united when we have to cope with a threat from outer space. Please don't misunderstand me. I don't want to say that aliens have to be aggressive and war-seeking individuals. But who knows?
