My name is Bas van Dam from Utrecht, The Netherlands. 38 years old and always in for something different. I hope one day to be able to join a bulletin board on Centauri Alpha. Nothing else would please me more than to hear their local gossip.

Seti@home is THE ultimate search for ET's phonenumber. Might look like a desperate search sometimes, but not looking is not an option. The search in it self has it's own virtue. Think of all the processors falling idle when the search is over! Come to think of it: Maybe ET is tuning in to the radiation of all those overheated processors while we're looking for him. Who knows...
One thing that strikes me is the ongoing discussions about WU's and credits. Where's the spirit of adventure? Who cares if you've found more nothing than someone else?
