Personal background
G'day, I'm Brian. I am currently working in my family business as a warehouse manager. It keeps me busy enough to keep me away from stargazing with my telescopes (which I miss a lot at the moment). I got my first computer in 1998, & about 6-7 months later, I found out about SETI. I just had to get involved!! After a while I got a friend to join in the search for Spock as well, so I started a work group call Tramsmash.
Since then I have got 6 other people to join the search
My 3 PC's are, AMD Thunderbird 1200, P4 1700 & a P4 3000.
My 2nd & 3rd PC, SETI was the 1st program to go on them (after OS & antivirus). They (P4-1.7 & P4-3.0) are dedicated seti crunchers (grin).
Seti is also my homepage :-)
I am such a fan of SETI that I have put in a SETI page into my web site. http://tramsmash.com . SETI is the only thing that breaks the site theme!
Feel free to visit my site & the next time you catch a tram, say "Thanks" to the driver. It will make their day!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
ET's are out there, but where? When we find them? How old will the signal be ? How much further have they advanced since the signal was sent? Will they even want to know us? Will we want to know them?
Maybe one day, it will be like StarTrek, with multiple different species, trading & visiting each other on a regular basis.
