Personal background
9I am a 42 year old photojournalist employed by The Honolulu Star-Bulletin and member of the company SETI team. A long time resident of Hawaii relocating here with my family in 1964 and I am proud to say I've lived here ever since. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from University of Hawaii at Manoa and currently occupy the professional chair of the University's Board of Publications. I enjoy traveling in the United States as well as abroad, I particularly like traveling the third world. No I don't surf, but have two brothers that do, I still enjoy the beach and sailing from time to time. I still enjoy comtemporary music and visit the clubs here on occasion. As a digital photographer when not in the field I do spend a bit of time working with my computers, Macintosh of course, tinkering with the hard and software. I live with my long time girlfriend Elizabeth and hope to marry her someday. I became a user of Seti@home almost at its inception. I for once felt like I was ahead of the curve when I heard it mentioned on National Public Radio and the Kim Komando show.

Aloha.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
9Do ETs exist? Most definitely! How could mankind dare to think we are alone in the universe and are the most technologically advanced! Given the sheer size and age of even the known universe, man cannot be alone.
9As far as contact goes, it probably won't be up to us. They will decide when the time is right.
