| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I've been running SETI@home almost since day 1 because there has to be extraterrestrial life, and we won't find it unless we look. Barring some big loopholes in our understanding of physics, they won't show up at our doorstep.
Proof of extraterrestrial life will be an important enough discovery to warrant the search, but the look on the faces of the people who think SETI is a waste of time will be a big bonus. |
