Personal background
I am a graduate student. I work part-time doing Java Application Development. I also work doing research on automated Post-Integration Black Box Testing techniques. Of course in my spare time, I attend grad-school. I don't really have a whole lot of time right now for hobbies, but when I can find the time, I enjoy woodworking.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I feel that spread across the infinity of space there are, have been, or will be other beings possessing intelligence enough to escape their planetary bounds. Do any exist at this moment in a part of the universe that we can reach? I guess that is what we are all here to find out.
I am personally interested and at the same time cautious about discovering or being discovered by any of these other beings. I think that humanity as a whole is still rather immature. I would like to see us get ourselves and our planet under control before we subject other beings to our problems.
