Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have been a member of SETI at home for a long time. Only in the last 2-3 years had I started putting it on numerous computers on my home network and various other installations.

There is no doubt that there is other intelligent life in the Universe, finding it may take a long time, I just hope they don't find us soft on the outside, crunchy on the inside. 8-)

I really wish the government would get off it's ass and stop spending money on exploratory satellites and rocket propulsion. I know mars is made of rocks, I don't need to see it up close. Sink all the money into faster than light drive systems and artificial gravity research. Without being able to create artificial gravity on a large scale, there is no way they can produce and maintain a large fusion reaction to power the engines needed to get into outer space. With artificial gravity, we can do zero g manufacturing right here on the planet.

Bush wants to go to Mars? Let him and his oil buddies pay for it, not me.
