Friday works as a travel journalist when she is not devoting half of her life to the Aardwolf MUD. Most people think she IS an alien, so SETI is a natural pastime for her as she seeks to reunite with her long lost relatives.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes intelligent life exists out there. Probably, we won't recognize it when we find it. More than likely they operate so vastly different from us that we won't even be able to discover their communications - but we can still try. :) Hopefully we can learn how to expand from this eventually doomed planet and preserve the human race. Possibly, the aliens may solve this problem by deciding we are too stupid to live. I run SETI because I'm a dreamer and I've read too many sci-fi novels.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
