Personal background
My name is kinda off-beat, but i guess thats whats expect from a member of a Rocky Horror cast is Chicagoland.(www.midnightmadness.org) Im 21 years old and going to school in Noral Illinois while building an art portfolio. i guess you could say i stick out in a place named Normal Illinois, but that would be bit of an understatement. I spend a lot of time reading anything i can get my hands on, from the arcane to the mundane, and love everything the world has to offer me. Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that to think that there isnt a chance of life in other areas of the universe is a very elitest point of view. Not so much the religios route of people believeing we are the ONES, but of the presumptiveness that in such a large field only one flower blooms. If nothing else i find it quite disheartening that a people who have thrived for millenia, with all sorts of beutiful and horrible things wouldnt want to try to believe in such things.
I run SETI@home because i can, and every cpu cycle helps
